NET Practitioner Profile

Vicky Cruz, DC
Pacifica, California

I can honestly say I cannot imagine a life without NET.  My first exposure to NET was when a Chiropractor friend was treating me, and I heard the now familiar phrase: “Do you want to play?”  I had no idea what he was doing.  He admitted that he had just learned this cool technique and he wanted to practice with me.  I trusted him so I said, “sure”.  After several moments of my arm being pushed down, it revealed that I had unresolved issues with my best friend in high school who had betrayed me.  All I remembered after the processing was that I felt better and that this colleague had magical powers!

Reception areaIn early 1999, I was invited to attend an informal practice management workshop at a friend’s clinic.  The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Francis Homer, an NET Certified practitioner.  It was perfect timing as I had just started my own practice and I was struggling.  It was a low point in my life, struggling to maintain a new practice.  The aloneness and feelings of inadequacy led to anxiety and depression.  The stress in meeting financial obligations became overwhelming.

Dr. Homer offered an NET session to clear any emotional blockages.  Again, I did not know what NET was, nor was I aware that I had experienced it before.  What I recalled from that treatment was that it went back to a family feud that caused me great grief.  This time tears flowed with me needing several tissues. I couldn’t believe that it went to that event and I was amazed at the efficiency of the process.  This time, I inquired further about the technique and finally was able to” hear” that it is called NET.

I knew I had to learn this technique.  I took my first NET Basic in the spring of that year. From that moment forward, NET became an integral part of my well-being.  I was determined to reduce my stress or not to allow it to bring me down.  I finally understood that it was my own past experiences that are blocking my own success.  The more NET treatments I received the more peaceful and calmer I felt with life.  Being comfortable in my own being, it increased my confidence.  Soon, my practice grew and continues to thrive.

In 2004, I signed up for the initial offering of the Certification Bonus Plan.  I followed Dr. Deb around the country perfecting my NET skills.  Once I became certified in 2005, I felt even more confident and more at ease.   I truly believe that NET helped me overcome my own fears and grief.

Dr. Vicky and Rocky (the canine healer)

To me it feels like magic happens every day in my office.  It is that same magic I felt with my own first NET experience.  It is the magic that a little boy feels when he no longer wets his bed, the magic that a young widow is able to overcome the loss of her sweetheart, the magic that an autistic boy is without a seizure for months when prior to NET it would occur 2-3x a week.

But nothing is more magical when you are a witness to NET at its best.  It was a normal afternoon in the office, Rocky, my 7 lb. Maltese canine healer, is there greeting patients with a toy in his mouth.  I finished adjusting an 11 year old boy who would routinely take Rocky out for his break.  A leashed Rocky was just steps outside our door when a loose German Shepard attacked Rocky.  Screams were heard with many trying to free Rocky from the Shepard’s jaws.  Once freed, I scooped him up cradling him in my arms as my assistant was following  me around spraying  ER 911 in my and Rocky’s mouth.  Both of us in complete shock and disbelief what has just happened.

Rocky’s injuries were too complicated to be handled by the local vet.  He had to be transferred to a Specialty Vet Hospital in San Francisco.  They knew he was bleeding in his abdomen after the 1st blood transfusion didn’t work.  Surgery that evening revealed that 2-3 liver lobes were macerated due to the puncture wounds he suffered from the attack. Basically, Rocky was on his own in stopping the internal bleeding.  With the prognosis grim, the Vet was allowing me to visit him in the middle of the night. (Actually, I refused to go) Though there were other complications, this was the immediate concern. Rocky did make it through the night. By morning, which happens to be his 1st birthday, a 2nd transfusion was needed as his condition was still critical. I gathered 3 NET remedies that I knew would help Rocky.  They were ER 911, Pain-Relief and Scars and Adhesions.

Visiting Rocky that morning, wishing my puppy a Happy Birthday with IVs and tubes in him, I immediately sprayed in his mouth and around him all 3 remedies.  The vet nurse saw me administering these sprays and she asked what they were.  I briefly explained NET and explained how the remedies are used.  She was very supportive and she wanted me to give her instructions on the dosage to give Rocky.  Needless to say, there were days of highs and lows with Rocky’s condition, from complications to more transfusions.  I was a ball of emotions.  Fortunately, I had my NET family to lean on.  I received multiple treatments to get me through the grief, the guilt, the possible loss and the anger towards the Shepard’s owner.  What a gift to have a technique helping me regain my balance.

A week later with a feeding tube and a distended belly full of blood, Rocky was able to come home.  Among his bottles of medications, he continued to receive his remedies.  I also applied Scars and Adhesions ointment to his surgical scar.  Within the following week, his feeding tube was removed and he was able to stand on all fours.  Within a month, he was back in the office greeting patients with a toy in his mouth happy and playful again.

It has been over a year since the incident.  Rocky’s liver lab values are all normal.  His doctors, the hospital administrator and staff, all call him the miracle dog!  They give credit to the not only his spirit to live but to all the holistic care given.  I too give NET huge credit in helping Rocky and I through this traumatic event.

Rocky's favorite toy

I have to say again, I cannot imagine a life without NET. Life is already hard enough, why suffer through all the unresolved issues.  NET is a true gift that Dr. Scott Walker created and developed along with Dr. Deb Walker.  It is an honor to not only be an NET practitioner but to also be part of the Teaching Team.

If you are an NET practitioner who is reading this, I thank you for healing your community.  If you are a health practitioner reading this and have not learned NET yet, what are you waiting for?  There are patients out there who need you!  If you are a patient considering receiving NET, you must call an NET practitioner immediately.  You and your loved ones will benefit tenfold.

I am so grateful to have been introduced to NET so many years ago.  There is no doubt the peace within my mind and body is attributed to all my NET clearings.  Just think it all started because I said yes in wanting to play!  Let the “magic” continue!
